Selected as A Juror for an upcoming Palm Desert Art Exhibition

I am honored to be requested as a juror for an upcoming art exhibition in Palm Desert, CA. I am especially honored to be working for people who have worked for The Getty for years. More information will be shared once the submissions have been finalized and the Exhibition announcement goes live. The jurying process of artwork takes place in early January 2026.

My fine art photo selfie, created before there were iPhones, has been juried into an exciting MOPA@ SDMA Exhibition that will be open to the public from November 9, 2024, through March 9, 2025. This is truly an honor I am grateful for.

The story of this analog photograph titled, “How Do I Get Out of This Creative Block?” includes a time travel journey with hand developing Black and White film, using an enlarger, and hand printing photographs in one of my many kitchen darkrooms. I created a technique of placing different sheets of rice paper over the photo paper while enlarging the image, creating the illusion of paintbrush textures. Afterward, I hand-painted this one using watercolor and oil paint. I am very honored in multiple ways!
My image was also chosen by the Museum for their Art banners for the upcoming Exhibition! What an honor.

The exhibition is up from November 7, 2024, through March 9, 2025.

What an honor. We are now selling Artist Leslie Pierce Internationally! “SURF RIDER” is part of a large, original series by Artist Leslie Pierce that she began while living in Austin, Texas. The “Codified/Code Defied” series is ongoing.
