FREE NTC GRANT FUNDED Paint-along with artist Leslie pierce on Nov.3!!! (Limited Seating.)

Adult Event/ Pop Star Portrait Painting with Leslie Pierce invites the community to a Paint-along of Beyonce. This will be a demoed Step-by-Step Paint-along of superstar and amazingly costumed singer Beyonce. Color Theory combinations will be taught and the public will have a choice of what colors to use for her clothing. Special effects gel will be mixed with some of the colors that add dimension and a soft beaded look. This is an NTC Grant Funded Event.

Come to one of two sessions:

4:30-6:30PM or

7-9PM.

2 sessions/ 1.5 hours long each 5-6:30 & 7-8:30 PM

Color Theory Bootcamp and Palm Tree Paint-along: Leslie will teach Color Theory demos followed by a Palm Tree Paint-along in acrylic paint. Visitors will leave with an 11x14" painting they created using Color Theory fun exercises- learning new things about color and having a blast. Limited seating.

UPLIFTING GESTURES- A COLLABORATION OF ART AND DANCE!

This is a Community Invitation to an outdoor gesture drawing and dance performance event. We invite you to come draw the Malashock dancers as Leslie demos Gesture drawings and guides you and John Malashock teaches you about his processes as a Professional Dancer and choreographer! FREE TO THE COMMUNITY!

​The concept of an uplifting gesture expresses kindness, positivity, and lifting each other up. Join Artist Leslie Pierce to create quick gesture drawings and get a behind-the-scenes look at John Malashock as he creates choreography with the Malashock Dancers.

Leslie will demo gesture drawing techniques and help attendees create quick timed drawings (1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes) throughout the event. John will direct the dancers and talk about some of the processes he uses to create dynamic, choreographed dance performances.

Participants have the opportunity to donate a gesture drawing to Artist Leslie who will incorporate some of the gesture drawings into an Art Installation. The installation will be on view in December. All participants will be included on a wall sign. Thank you!

​This event honors diversity and inclusiveness and is open to the differently-abled and is wheelchair accessible.
This Project is Grant funded by The NTC Foundation.
​WHEN: Saturday, September 17th/ Two Gesture Drawing Sessions and live Dance performances.
​WHERE: The Central Promenade at Liberty Station.
​The Central Promenade is located outside behind the Dick Laub NTC Command Center.
TIMES: 10:30 AM-12 noon & 2:00-3:30 PM.
