Course Description: Learn to paint portraits using contemporary methods, including painting form, value, color zones, and contrast with different modern color palettes.
This class begins with easy-to-follow, fun ways to sketch with paint before going into modeled detail. We will be looking at famous Artists’ work who took portrait painting to new and distinct levels, including Egon Schiele, Alice Neel, Kehinde Wiley, B. Shawn Cox, Mark Ryden (Godfather of Pop Surrealism), Mark Tennant, Sandra Chevrier, and more!
