Learn methods to stretch your creative imagination and create your own characters in interesting compositions.
Some of the incredible artists you will learn about and reference in class are Mark Ryden, Marion Peck, Dilka Bear, and Pieter Bruegel the Elder.

All levels welcome! Your choice of oil or acrylic.

What will you learn?:

• How to combine different visual ideas, create your own dreamlike characters, and place them into interesting compositions.

• Value and Shading: we will start with sketching and shading and build a full tonal painting.

• Different types of brushes

• Brushwork and blending techniques.

• Glazing and scumbling techniques. 

• Edge control- and why it is so important.

• Rendering different surfaces and textures.

• How to create inspiring compositions and more!

• Learn some art history and the influences of historical art while creating your very own unique drawings and paintings.

Small classes for better learning experiences in a boutique creative space.
