Curent Exhibition in the Dammeyer Gallery at the Museum of Photographic Arts @ The San Diego Museum of Art (MOPA@ SDMA).
My fine art photo selfie created before there were iPhones has been juried into an exciting MOPA@ SDMA Exhibition that will be open to the public from November 9, 2024, through March 9, 2025. This is truly an honor I am grateful for.
The story of this analog photograph titled, “How Do I Get Out of This Creative Block?” includes a time travel journey with hand developing Black and White film, using an enlarger, and hand printing photographs in one of my many kitchen darkrooms. I created a technique of placing different sheets of rice paper over the photo paper while enlarging the image creating the illusion of paintbrush textures. Afterward, I hand-painted this one using watercolor and oil paint. I am very honored in multiple ways! UPDATE!! My image was also chosen by the Museum for their Art banners for the upcoming Exhibition! What an honor.
The exhibition is up from November 7, 2024, through March 9, 2025
